World Mental Health Day, observed on October 10th every year, is a global initiative that aims to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote open discussions to reduce stigma.
Mental health is a vital aspect of an individual’s overall well-being, and it impacts people from all walks of life, including athletes. The World Boxing Council have recognized the importance of mental health in the boxing community and have taken significant steps to support their fighters’ mental well-being.
In Reynosa town Hall Mauricio Sulaiman cut the crimson ribbon to inaugurate the Museum dedicated to the life’s work of his Father Don Jose Sulaiman.
The iconic boxing leader, Don José Sulaimán Chagnón, was recognized for his outstanding career and for being a distinguished native of Tamaulipas, with multiple qualities that have immortalized him. His sons, Pepe and Mauricio Sulaimán, were responsible for receiving the posthumous award during an emotional tribute honoring their father.

The World Boxing Council invited the boxing family of Mexico and society as a whole to come together in these difficult times, as thousands of Mexican families are suffering due to the recent floods that have affected various regions of the country. The WBC and its Vice President, Hector Sulaimán, launched the distribution of 20,000 food packages as part of the first stage of relief efforts, and now a second phase is beginning — one in which we can all take part.

Martes de Cafe featured the unveiling of the traditional Day of the Dead shrine
During Martes de Cafe, the WBC Day of the Dead Belt was officially unveiled — the winning design from the Talent Pitch Designers Flow, an international contest that brought together thousands of artists from around the world to create the very first Day of the Dead-themed belt for the World Boxing Council.
The belt will be dedicated to two major fights:
Gabriela Sánchez vs. Tamara Demarco, for the WBC Interim Flyweight Title, in Puebla, Mexico.
