
ON November 8, at the GNP Seguros Auditorium in Puebla, Mexico, Mexican Marvel Gabriela “Bonita” Sánchez will face the Argentinian Tamara “Rebelde” Demarco to contest the interim Flyweight Championship of the World Boxing Council.
Sánchez, a source of great pride for Puebla and the current WBC Silver Champion, in addition to serving as the Head of the Secretariat of Sports and Youth for the State of Puebla, sims to consolidate her place among the best in her division on a night that promises intensity, technique, and to be the Queen of Hearts.
“Bonita” conquered the Silver belt in 2023 after defeating Ángela “Chiquita” Nolasco by majority decision, in a close fight that marked the beginning of a notable winning streak. Since then, she has defended her crown with authority: she knocked out Valeria Pérez, defeated Japan’s Tomoko Okuda by unanimous decision, and most recently prevailed over Simangele Hadebe, confirming her boxing maturity and mindset fortitude.
With a professional record of 12 wins, 6 losses, and 1 knockout, the Mexican pugilist seeks to capitalize on the momentum of fighting in front of her home crowd to take another significant step toward the world summit.
On the other hand the experienced and seasoned Tamara “Rebelde” Demarco (13-8), an Argentinian warrior known for her aggressive style and tangible teak toughness, ready to spoil the party in Puebla.
