World champion Camila Zamorano joined today’s traditional Martes de Cafe via Zoom.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán took the opportunity to congratulate her on her recent victory:
“I want to congratulate you for your hard work and dedication. You’re a source of pride for all of us. You have a bright and shining future.”
He also offered her some advice:
“You must be careful—fame brings temptations. I trust that you’ll continue being who you are and remain an example for young girls.”
Zamorano expressed her joy after the fight:
“I feel great. I was strong and well prepared for this fight, and I’m very happy with the result.”
Media questions:
—It was a tough opponent. How did you feel, and what’s your projection for 2026?
“She was strong and experienced, but that’s what we train for. I felt great, and I think the fans left satisfied.”
—What are your plans for next year?
“To keep training, keep fighting, and hopefully become a unified champion. I’d also like to move up in weight.”
Before signing off, the champion thanked the World Boxing Council for its constant support.
