Getting to know Terence Crawford
In the heart of Omaha, Nebraska, a fighter destined to change the history of boxing was born on September 28, 1987: Terence “Bud” Crawford.
Today, with an undefeated record (42-0-0) and multiple belts in different divisions, he has established himself as one of the finest pound-for-pound fighters.
His Beginnings in Omaha
He grew up in a difficult environment, where the streets didn’t offer many opportunities. Boxing was his refuge and his way of escaping violence. His mother, Debbie Crawford, raised him along with his father, Terry Crawford, and his two sisters, Latisha and Shawntay Crawford. He started training at age seven and quickly stood out on the amateur circuit, racking up over 70 victories.
His Professional Leap
Bud made his professional boxing debut in 2008 and has been undefeated ever since. With a versatile style—capable of naturally switching stances—he quickly caught attention for his controlled aggression and precise counter-punching.
Multi-Champion and Role Model
“Bud” has become the undisputed champion in three divisions (super lightweight, welterweight, and super middleweight), which places him in an elite group. His victory over Errol Spence Jr. in 2023 and his recent win against Canelo Alvarez place him at the highest point of his career so far.
Beyond the Ring
Bud hasn’t forgotten his roots in Omaha. There, he organizes community events and supports young people in vulnerable situations, seeking to give them the opportunities he didn’t have.
The Stellar Undefeated Record
With a record of 42-0 (31 KOs), every one of Terence Crawford’s fights is a spectacle of technique and power. His ability to adapt, read his opponents, and finish with force makes him a brilliant fighter.
