
Legendary superstar and pioneer Mariana “Barby” Juárez will return to the ring on Saturday, October 11, for her first fight of the year, and it`s against Japanese fighter Tomomi Takano, defending her WBC super bantamweight Silver title.
The bout will take place in the State of Mexico, with the venue yet to be confirmed. The event will also feature a co-main event between Aarón De la Cruz and Reyneris Gutiérrez.
Barby captured the Silver belt in 2024 by defeating Matshidiso Mokebisi via technical knockout, and months later successfully defended it against Paola Rincón. With an impressive, impactful and extensive professional career, she holds a record of 57 wins, 13 losses, 4 draws, and 20 knockouts.
Her opponent, Tomomi Takano, comes in with a record of 14 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw, and 9 knockouts. Storm clouds are gathering!
