Letter to My Champion

The World Boxing Council (WBC), in collaboration with Servicios Postales de México, has created a very special activity to celebrate the official launch of the WBC Postal Stamps.

We invite you to participate in the “Letter to My Champion” initiative, which seeks to honor the athletes who inspire us every day. The concept is simple yet powerful: write your letter by hand and send it through traditional mail, expressing your admiration, support, and affection to your favorite champion.

We want your message to be authentic, emotional, and full of inspiration. This is your chance to connect with the heroes of the ring in a unique and memorable way.

Terms of the Call:

Theme: “Letter to My Champion”

1. The letter must be addressed to a boxer you deeply admire, whether active, retired, or even deceased.
2. Participation is open to all ages and nationalities.
3. Letters must be handwritten, in any format, and sent via traditional postal mail with an envelope and postage.
4. Include your full name, age, city, and country, as well as a contact method (email or postal address) so your champion may respond if desired.
5. Only one letter per person is allowed.

Project Details:

The most touching and poignant letters will be selected to form part of a special exhibition during the official WBC postal stamp launch, where boxing legacy meets the excitement of traditional mail. Some letters may also be published on the WBC official platforms and sent directly to the mentioned champions.

Prizes:

First place: Framed WBC postal stamp, WBC stamp set, autographed gloves by WBC champions, commemorative diploma, mini WBC belt, and official t-shirt.

Second place (5 letters): Mini WBC belt, official t-shirt, WBC stamp set, and gloves signed by a champion.

Third place (10 letters): WBC stamp set and gloves signed by a champion.

Prizes will be shipped; travel, accommodation, or per diem are not included.

General Rules:

• Letters must be original, handwritten, and authored by the participant.
• Offensive, impersonal, or copied letters will not be accepted.
• By participating, authors authorize the WBC to reproduce all or part of their letter for promotion, dissemination, and archiving purposes.
• Any matters not covered in this call will be resolved by the WBC organizing committee.
