
This Friday, August 8th, the FECOMBOX & WBC University Congress was successfully inaugurated. This year’s event is being held at the Wyndham Garden in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
The Congress features prominent figures. Mauricio Sulaimán, President of the World Boxing Council, gave a warm welcome to all attendees, inviting them to continue working together for the good of boxing and boxers. Also in attendance are FECOMBOX President Juan Carlos Pelayo, Xóchitl Lagarda, director of the WBC University, Christiane Manzur, academic liaison director, Ricardo Monreal of the WBC Medical Commission, Dr. Andrew Kluger, CEO of BoxMed, among other important figures.
This Congress brings together judges, referees, trainers, doctors, and promoters from all over Mexico, with the goal of strengthening ties among everyone involved in the sport. This initiative marks a turning point in the evolution of boxing in Mexico, as it will transform how education, technology, and medicine are combined within the sport.
