Call for Entries: “Letter to My Champion” – Celebrating the Launch of WBC Postal Stamps

The WBC (World Boxing Council) and Servicios Postales de Mexico have organized this event as part of the commemorative activities for the official launch of the World Boxing Council (WBC) postal stamps.

We invite you to participate in the “Letter to My Champion” call for entries, an initiative that seeks to honor those who inspire us through the magic of handwritten letters sent via traditional mail.

Terms of the Call for Entries:

Theme: “Letter to My Champion”

1. The letter must be addressed to a male or female boxer you deeply admire. This can be an active, retired, or even deceased boxer.
2. Participation is open to people of all ages and nationalities.
3. Letters must be handwritten, in any format, and sent via traditional postal mail, with an envelope and stamp.
4. You must include your full name, age, city, and country, as well as a method of contact (email or postal address) so that your champion can respond if they wish.
5. You may submit only one letter per person.

Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Project Dynamics:

The most touching letters will be selected to be part of a special exhibition that will take place during the presentation ceremony of the WBC postal stamps, where the legacy of boxing unites with the emotion of traditional mail.

Additionally, some letters may be published on the official WBC platforms and sent directly to the mentioned champions.

Prizes:

The 3 most outstanding letters will receive:

• First Place: Framed WBC postal stamp, WBC postal stamp set, WBC champions autographed glove, commemorative diploma, WBC mini-belt, and official t-shirt.
• Second Place (5 letters will be awarded): WBC mini-belt and official t-shirt, WBC postal stamp set, and a glove signed by a champion.
• Third Place (10 letters will be awarded): WBC postal stamp set and a glove signed by a champion.

Prizes will be sent by parcel delivery and do not include transportation, lodging, or per diem expenses.

General Rules:

• Letters must be original and self-authored, handwritten.
• Offensive, impersonal, or copied letters will not be accepted.
• By participating, authors authorize the WBC to reproduce their letter, in whole or in part, for promotional, dissemination, and archival purposes.
• Anything not covered in this call for entries will be resolved by the WBC organizing committee.
