Seventeen-year-old Mexican boxer Camila Zamorano will challenge for the interim WBC atomweight title against Japanese fighter Mika Iwakawa on Saturday, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, Camila’s hometown.
Should she win, Zamorano would become the youngest world champion in boxing history. She secured the WBC International atomweight title late last year, defeating Norj Guro by unanimous decision.
Young Camila “Magnifica” Zamorano holds an undefeated record of 11 wins, including one by knockout.
Mika Iwakawa’s record stands at 13-7-1 with 4 KOs.
