
Foshan, China – In a thrilling main event at the Boxing Gala in Foshan, Chinese boxer Yeerjialahasi Laayibieke was crowned the new World Boxing Council (WBC) Far East Lightweight Champion.
The bout ended in the eighth round due to an accidental clash of heads that left both Yeerjialahasi and his opponent, South Korean contender Min Hyuk Jang, with cuts that forced a stoppage. As per WBC rules, the fight went to the judges’ scorecards after the eighth round, with the following tallies: 79-73, 79-73, and 77-75 in favor of Yeerjialahasi.
It was a determined and composed performance from the Chinese boxer, who showcased his technical skill and ring generalship throughout the contest. The WBC congratulates Yeerjialahasi Laayibieke on his hard-earned victory and newly acquired championship title.
