
David Mwale and Michael Decardi Nelson fight for the WBC international bantamweight title.
The Africans will fight for the WBC international title.
Continuing with the celebrations of the Year of Africa, Mwale and Nelson will try to conquer the WBC international title at 118 pounds.
The fight will take place on May 24 this year at the Goverment Complex in Lusaka, Zambia, Mwale’s place of origin.
David “Sniper” Mwale will be looking for his first WBC title shot. He has an undefeated professional record of 10 wins, half of which have come by knockout.
Michael Decardi has a record of 8-1-1, his only loss was in his most recent bout where he sought to be crowned WBC junior bantamweight champion.
The World Boxing Council named 2025 as the Year of Africa in order to commemorate the history, achievements, magnificence and splendor of African boxing.
Throughout these months in which 2025 has passed, there have been important events that have commemorated the African continent; and the Mwale vs. Nelson fight will be one of them.
