
A video with the results of the National Boxing Class was presented during Martes A Cafe and it was a crème de La Crème dividend.
The official attendance at the Zócalo in Mexico City was 42,000. The names of the boxers who participated as instructors were:
Guadalajara: Mariana “Barby” Juárez, Rigoberto “Español” Alvarez, Mario “Azabache” Martinez, and Oscar “Chololo” Larios.
Hidalgo: “Pipino” Cuevas.
Puebla: Gabriela “Bonita” Sanchez.
Michoacán: Carlos Molina.
Cancún: Rudy López.
Guanajuato: Germán Torres and Robinson Castellanos.
Torreón: “Veneno” Rubio.
Durango: Cristian Mijares.
Tijuana: Erik “Terrible” Morales and Pelucho Morales.
Yucatán: Guty Espadas, Guty Espadas Jr., and “Alacrán” Berchelt.
Campeche: “Bandido” Vargas and Melchor Cob.
Various municipalities in the State of Mexico: Ana María Torres, Kika Chavez, Roca Zamora, Angela Nolasco, Maria Elena Villalobos, “Vaquero” Navarrete, “Confesor” Hernández, and Isaac Bustos.
An estimated one million people participated in the Mexican National Class throughout the country, led by Julio César, Oscar de la Hoya and Roberto Duran.
The President of Mexico, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, along with the President of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaiman, sent a clarion message of peace, addiction prevention, and sports promotion.
Miguel Torruco, National Director of Sports and Wellness Promotion, was present at the Tuesday Coffee Event. He said:
“We foucsed on making history. We traveled the country, spoke with the 32 Governors, with the goal of sealing our commitment to the nation’s youth and children.
“It was a pleasure to see so many people united behind the banner of boxing.”
He also took the opportunity to announce the plan to install boxing gyms in all 32 states to combat the risk of addiction.
Finally, he thanked the WBC for its efforts in the National Class.
A video was presented showing prison participation in the National Boxing Class.
Twenty-nine states participated, and 150 prison guards joined the class, along with six centers for adolescents in conflict with the law and four centers for the care and treatment of addictions. More than 18,000 people deprived of their liberty participated.Eunice Rendon, head of the prison sector for the national class, who was present at Coffee Tuesday, expressed her gratitude to the WBC for the class.
She commented that sports are one of the greatest points of inclusion.
Mauricio Sulaiman invited the United States Embassy to unite against fentanyl.
