
Britain’s Caroline Dubois will defend her World Boxing Council lightweight title against South Korea’s Bo Mi Re Shin, this Friday, March 7 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, United Kingdom.
The exclusively female card in the framework of International Women’s Day and framed as a historic evening, is promoted by Boxxer and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Dubois won the interim WBC world title with a unanimous victory over Maira Moneo in Barnsley in August. The Tokyo 2020 Olympian was later promoted to WBC world champion when super lightweight champion Katie Taylor opted to compete at 140 pounds.
Dubois has an undefeated record of 10-0-1 with 5 KOs, after the fight with Moneo, she recorded her first and only draw as a professional against Jessica Camara, on January 1 of this year, in a fight that took place at the Park Community Arena, Sheffield.
South Korean Shin is a former WBC international champion and is currently ranked number 1 in the world. She is undefeated in her last three fights after a split decision loss to former world champion Delfine Persoon.
Bo Mi Re Shin has a record of 18-2-3 with 10 KOs, after her loss to Persoon, she won three victories, against Pattarawan Thaosuwan by TKO, Ana María Lozano by TKO and recently against Ntomboqala Tolashe by unanimous decision.
This Thursday both warriors passed the official weigh-in registering 135 pounds.
