Undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev will grant Dmitry Bivol a long-awaited rematch on February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, headlining “The Last Crescendo” an event of the Riyadh Season, on a card packed with exciting fights.
To add to the prestige of the bout, the WBC will present the winner with a special commemorative belt.
Beterbiev (21-0; 20 KO’s) and Bivol (23-1; 12 KO’s) will rekindle their rivalry after their thrilling 12-round battle in Riyadh last October. Beterbiev emerged victorious by majority decision in a fight that showcased both Bivol’s slick boxing and Beterbiev’s relentless power. This rematch promises another captivating showdown as both fighters vie for light heavyweight supremacy.
Both fighters passed the weigh-in on Friday without any problems. Beterbiev weighed in at 175 pounds, while Bivol stopped the scale at 174.1 pounds.
