Thanks to our friend Colin Woods, who`s the President of WBC Cares UK, adults and young people with different abilities have enjoyed the opportunity to train with great boxing champions including Charlie Edwards, Julius Francis and Scott Welch.
The adaptive boxing Program aims to help people who suffered serious injuries or fight against medical conditions in different classifications, depending on the needs of each athlete.
Scott, of WBC Cares UK, presented special wheelchairs so that the children have the opportunity to have fun and train in the gym.
Geraldine Davies, from WBC Cares UK, also organized a talk with the young men and women. She donated Cleto Reyes gloves and various WBC gifts for the adaptive boxers.
With the goal of inclusion, safety and fun for all, Colin Woods through WBC Cares UK, is touring UK looking for gyms willing to open their doors to adaptive boxing, offering training to boxing coaches and sharing the experience. Successful, fun and memorable events have taken place in Great Britain, an international event in the Netherlands and firm links have been established with the United States, Australia and Brazil.
