
Mauricio Sulaimán, son, brother, husband, father, friend, leader and who has fully fulfilled the main task in what a man’s life should be: serving others.
We today celebrate his birthday.
Our President was born in 1969 in Mexico City, the son of José Sulaimán and Martha Saldivar, following his father’s legacy, living to serve others. , the greatest teaching he has had and with which he has always guided his life.
Mauricio Sulaimán, was always very close to his father and therefore to boxing, a sport that he learned to love from his childhood.
Even though he always breathed this sport, he graduated and achieved multiple academic achievements as a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Mauricio Sulaimán has also served as president and executive director of the Graphic Controls Company, vice president of the North American Boxing Federation (NABF), executive secretary of the WBC and currently as President of the most important organization, the World Boxing Council, where he has worked with the values that his father instilled in him involving honesty, responsibility, respect, solidarity and friendship.
With these values, he has promoted and shaped various initiatives, amateur and professional tournaments, active participation in social and reinsertion programs, promotion of women’s boxing with the organization of three conventions, monitoring of the “José Sulaimán” Fund that helps boxers in need, creation of special belts to commemorate great fights.
Seminars for judges and referees around the world, the creation of the Clean Boxing Program (CBP) that in collaboration with VADA, whose main objective, apart from the tests, is to educate athletes about the danger and disadvantages and dangers that doping can cause, among many other important projects.
