Fifty years ago, on October 30, 1974, one of the greatest sporting events in history unfolded and wrapped up in the heat of the night, right in the heart of Zaire… now Congo: The Rumble in the Jungle presented by Don King.
To properly and chronologically celebrate this iconic moment in boxing, the World Boxing Council decided to invite artists from around the world to participate in the “The Rumble in the Jungle” contest and all participating works had to propose an original interpretation that would commemorate the 50th anniversary of this exceptionally enlightening fight.
During this process, we received more than 50 works of art from around the world and for this reason, we decided to take into account the opinion of the boxing family to choose the best and after several weeks of voting we managed to define the eight favorites. During our annual Convention #WBCHamburg24 we discovered the 3 winners.
