Salvatori wins WBC Mediterranean title

On December 1 in Marino, Italy, local fighter Simona Salvatori defeated Colombian based in Malta, Ana Reyes, winning the World Boxing Council Mediterranean featherweight title.

The fight was dominated in its entirety by Salvatori, against an opponent who, although she was willing, Simona’s quality was better plus decisive.

Salvatori, who is 40 years old, declared that this fight was the last of her career and that she will now dedicate her time to her profession as a criminal lawyer, a profession she shares with her trainer Rolando Grossi. The event was presented by Alessandra Branco’s A&B Events and supervised by WBC Vice President Houcine Houichi.
