
This Saturday November 9, WBC Interim super flyweight Champion , Pedro Guevara, will fight the Absolute Champion Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, United States.
On June 29, Jesse Rodriguez defeated Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada. In 2022. He previously defeated Carlos Cuadras and then Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, all considered among the best super flyweights of recent times.
Through a brilliant performance, he managed to halt Estrada by KO during the seventh round, recovering the WBC super flyweight crown that he had vacated with the intention of conquering a second division.
Rodriguez, originally from San Antonio, Texas, is an undefeated fighter with great qualities, involving speed, punching power and a high Ring IQ. “Bam” has 13 knockouts in 20 fights; and has defeated high-quality rivals Carlos ‘Príncipe’ Cuadras, Janiel Rivera, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and Sunny Edwards.
Guevara, from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico, won the interim WBC title by defeating Andrew Moloney in Australia in May. He now seeks the opportunity to become Absolute Champion, attempting a grand slam against ‘Bam.’
Pedro has a record of 42 wins with 22 knockouts, 4 losses and a draw, and has fought Kenshiro Teraji, Oswaldo Novoa, Akira Yaegashi.
