World champion, Seniesa Estrada, announces her retirement from boxing.
Estrada was born on September 26, 1992 in East Los Angeles, California; and made a name for herself in the sport with her exceptional skills and great talent. She began her path in boxing at an early age, inspired by her father, Joe Estrada, who was also a professional boxer. With a deep-rooted love for the sport and unwavering determination, Estrada quickly rose to become one of the most prominent figures in women’s boxing.
Seniesa was proclaimed undisputed straw-weight champion in her most recent fight last March, defeating Costa Rican Yokasta Valle by decision in a great fight.
“Thank you for the ups and downs during my boxing career. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to inspire others with my work. Thank you to my fans, friends and family, my promoter and all the people who supported me to achieve my goals. Only God knows why things happen. Physically and mentally I cannot continue with boxing,” Estrada commented on her social networks.
The WBC and its President Mauricio Sulaimán wish Seniesa great success with her future plans and ventures.
