58^th WBC Convention

The annual World Boxing Council convention is already a tradition in the boxing world, which in addition to bringing international boxing stars together, enriches, updates and refreshes  the sport through presentations, medical clinics and seminars for ring officials.

In addition, world rankings are reviewed, and the mandatory challenger is picked for each champion in the 17 weight divisions.

This annual event is also an excellent opportunity where the members spend great  and memorable moment in the usual welcome cocktails, dinners and talent shows.

This year has been difficult for boxing due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, because major events have been canceled and postponed. We are specifically that the changes are complicated, we must be patient and continue moving forward with specific precautions.

The 58^th WBC Convention will not be canceled, so three options are contemplated:
1.- Carry it out as planned, at the end of August in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
2.- carry out at some other venue on a date to be defined
3.- hold the virtual convention

This depends entirely on the sanitary conditions that occur in the coming weeks. What is a fact is that WBC Convention 58 will take place. More details will be released soon.
