Yuliahn Luna ready to make her mark on history

On a date that will go down in the history of Mexican boxing, Yuliahn ‘Cobrita’ Luna, WBC bantamweight champion, will travel to Denmark in September, attempting to unify the championships with the undefeated Dina Thorslund.

The boxer represented by Promociones del Pueblo, a company directed by Oswaldo Küchle; has fought three successful Green and Gold 118-pound title defenses; and she will now face the undefeated Thorslund who has also successfully defended her crown three times.

Thorslund, like the Mexican, was already a monarch in two divisions, super bantamweight and bantamweight; so the duel between the two boxers is one of the most anticipated of the year.

The Danish fighter has important victories over Zulina Muñoz and the Argentine Debora Anahí López; while Luna Ávila has used her power and reach to defeat Mariana Juárez, the previously undefeated Mayeli Flores, the interim champion Jessica González and the Argentine Vanesa Lorena Taborda.
