Yamileth Mercado ready for 2022

At the WBC´s Coffee Tuesdays” and thanks to zoom technology, we linked up with  WBC super-bantamweight world champion, Yamileth Mercado who recounted what happened this year, recalling the good and the bad.

For Yamileth, it’s been a learning curve and especially of great growth, in which she appreciates the importance look to the future with its new challenges. Among  them,  and if the pandemic permits her mandatory fight against Catherine Phiri.

Reflecting on this end of the year, the Green  and Gold Monarch  believes that today more than ever,  we must be grateful for what we have, unite with family and think with love of all those people who have lost someone in these complex times.

Grateful to her entire work team, her family, friends and especially the WBC, which she considers her home, Yamileth looks forward to a great 2022, full of challenges, new aims and with the goal to continuing to make history in women’s boxing.
