The official representative of WBC in Ukraine Mykola Kovalchuk on Saturday, February 12, became the guest at the opening ceremony of the “Rocky Boxing Club” in Kremenchuk city, Ukraine. The founder of the club is the well-known Ukrainian cruiserweight boxer Serhiy Radchenko. He is the bronze medalist of the European Cup, silver medalist of the European Championship among students (2009) in the 91 kg category, and he has been a sparring partner of Volodymyr Klitschko and had a couple of professional fights with cruiserweight top-fighters.
Serhiy is known for his public activities in his hometown, he supports and participates in various sports and charitable initiatives, so the idea of the opening of a boxing club was a logical continuation of his activities.
And finally, on February 12, in the presence of many famous athletes, coaches, boxing experts, and local authorities, Serhiy cut the ribbon at the opening of the Rocky Boxing Club.
Mykola Kovalchuk, who was invited to the event as a guest of honor, congratulated Serhiy on the opening of the boxing club, an arena for the fights, and boxing shows, and presented two memorable paintings, expressing support from the WBC family.
After that, Radchenko said that he will be happy and ready to compete for the WBC Ukraine title in the cruiserweight.
