WBC Opus Book The 100 Best Fights Arrives in Saudi Arabia

During the last Final Press Conference of “The Truth” starring Paul Vs Fury + Makabu Vs Jack, there was a Skill Challenge, involving panels with the participation of great characters, among them: the legendary Mike Tyson, the undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney and Derek “War” Chisora.

Amer Abdallah, Skill Challenge boxing director, thanked everyone for their participation and confidence in the project. Also present was the director and founder of Skill Challenge, HH Prince Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who defined the mission and vision of Skill Challenge. “To help all fighters put together the best fights, while giving the fans what they want”

During his participation, Prince Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, made an analysis of the current boxing stars and commented that, under values such as respect and honesty, their purpose is to make this region the New Boxing Capital.

As part of this panel, the OPUS book, The WBC’s 100 Greatest Fights, was presented.

This book was created in association with Opus, it measures nearly three feet wide when open, and weighs nearly 75 pounds. In this special edition, award-winning sportswriter Ian Stafford tells the story of the WBC’s greatest fights. 75% of the photos in this book are unpublished and have never been seen by the public.

These fights were selected by the WBC world champions themselves and expert analysts and historians. The top 12 fights were selected by a panel of legendary champions including: Mike Tyson, Vitali Klitschko, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tyson Fury, Julio Cesar Chavez, Roberto Duran, Carl Froch, Bernard Hopkins and Jeff Fenech.

Amer Abdallah commented: “The WBC is more than just a boxing sanctioning body, they have always distinguished themselves by doing more, be it for society or in terms of culture. The book Edition 001 is here in Saudi Arabia and will begin a World Tour, said tour will culminate in Mexico. At its end it will be auctioned 100% for charitable purposes to organizations all around the world.

To close this panel, Mauricio Sulaimán, President of the WBC, and Karl Fowler, and Opus CEO, invited Prince Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to sign the WBC plaque of Book 0001 WBC-Opus The 100 Best Fights.
