WBC Cares MX Applies Makeup with a Cause

As part of the WBC Cares MX Program, led by Christiane Manzur, the world champions Estrella Valverde, Lulú Juárez and Erika Cruz participated with the COI Foundation (Oncology Center) and Novartis, joined the campaign “Makeup with a cause” event that is part of the dissemination in raising awareness towards the fight against breast cancer.

In the midst of talks about the importance of detection, the champions witnessed messages of encouragement from recovering patients and presentations from doctors.

Erika Ortiz, Executive Director of the COI Foundation, led and coordinatedthe event, which featured a presentation of not only medical topics, but also those related to psychological and occupational care.

“It is very important for us to be here and represent the WBC. You are the true champions with everything you do for you,” said Estrella Valverde, representing the boxers and WBC Cares.

To close this great, vital and memorable day, a self-makeup class was held with the participation of Mónica Godínez with the support of the makeup store “Nuestro Secreto”; in addition to David Cárdenas, who was in charge of a makeover for one of the patients in recovery.
