Last Saturday was an unforgettable day for the WBC Amateur league, as the first boxing event was held in the city of Phoenix Arizona. This event was made possible thanks to the support of USA Boxing, official amateur boxers, coaches and sponsors.
The ambassadors of the tournament were the great champion Michael Carbajal and the top prospect Carlos Castro, who really enjoyed this great event. In addition, we were honored with the company of US President Boxing Tyson Lee, Arizona box commissioner Francisco Meneses, WBC representative in Illinois Mario Gutierrez, promoter César Verduzco and Illinois box commissioner Joel Campuzano, Volunteer to the organization of these great events.
There were thirteen fights of great emotion for the fans that crowded the “Central boxing gym”, and where young stars fought with all their hearts since in each fight a minibelt of the WBC Amateur league was contested. Also, for the last 2 fights there was contested a WBC Amateur belt.
Thank you Phoenix for welcoming us on this unforgettable day and we will continue to support youth in the United States and the world so that our great sport continues to grow.
