The WBC has taken a new step towards equality, safety and inclusion, with the help of Scott Welch, Mauricio Sulaiman visited Colin Wood, CEO of the Adaptive Boxing Organization who has undertaken the task to organice boxing for the disabled, he designed the wheel chairs and has made some guidelines and rules for the practice of the sport. Mauricio has agreed with Colin to have a new organization, WABC World Adaptive Boxing Council with the interest to bring all the safety rules, regulations, compliances to develop this new sport with safety as a priority and rules that contemplate special needs, rankings that will include the type of disability of the boxer and everything that need to be regulated to make it safe yet competitive.
