So, we share the Voting Link and the Graphics of the nominees for Best Fight of the Year 2023:
O’Shaquie Foster VS Eduardo Hernández
The WBC super featherweight champion successfully defended his title in a memorable fight, which he snatched out of the fire with a supreme final round surge. Despite being behind on two scorecards, Foster fought hard to knock out the hard hitting Mexican mandatory challenger Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez, who was ahead on points, before walking into a twelfth round maelstrom.
Devin Haney vs. Vasily Lomachenko
Haney defeated the Ukrainian idol Loma by unanimous decision in an extremely close and thrillingly competitive fight. With this victory Devin successfully defended his undisputed lightweight crown for the second time.
David Benavidez VS Demetrius Andrade
The “Mexican Monster” closed a great year by defeating Andrade via a brilliant performance. The fight only reached the 6th round due to Benavidez’s impressive and overwhelming performance.
Luis Nery VS Azat Hovhannisyan
“Pantera” Nery had to work hard to defeat the tough Armenian. After a close fight, the Mexican impressively persevered to stop Azat in the 11th round.
Julio César Martínez VS Ronal Batista
The WBC flyweight champion stopped the tough Panamanian challenger by TKO in the 11th round in what was a power-to-power battle.
Arthur Beterbiev VS Anthony Yarde
The undefeated light heavyweight champion, who has a 100% KO ratio, dug deep to take the victory. Yarde was spirited and posed plenty of problems. However, the champion’s sheer punching power surfaced with chopping waves enabling him to sweep to victory via KO.
Chantelle Cameron Katie Taylor I
Cameron defeated the legendary Taylor in Ireland. Katie`s first defeat. The fight was intense, hard fought and an absolute to and fro classic.
Katie Taylor VS Chantelle Cameron II
Taylor avenged her only defeat by defeating Cameron, also taking away her undisputed super lightweight crown. We now await the trilogy decider.
Amanda Serrano VS Erika Cruz
A veritable war involving Puerto Rico vs Mexico. Serrano had to work hard to defeat Cruz, who never stopped moving forward.
Marlene Esparza VS Gabriela Alaniz
The WBC flyweight champion took Alaniz’s undefeated record to successfully defend her WBC crown. Despite incessant pressure from Alaniz, Esparza took the victory by majority decision
Seniesa Estrada VS Leonela Yudica
An intense fight from start to finish. Seniesa Estrada remained firm in her goal of the undisputed straw championship defeating Yudica by UD.
Jessica Nery Plata VS Kim Clavel
The Mexican traveled to Canada to brilliantly snatch the WBC light fly crown from Clavel with a fabulous and decisive unanimous
