
With thrillers in front of hundreds of fans a in the Huayamilpas Ecological Park, in the Coyoacán Mayor’s Office to the south Mexico City, the finals of the WBC Amateur “Green and Gold” tournament were a refreshing evergreen potential.
Fighters from Baja California, Jalisco, the State of Mexico and Mexico City participated in this contest, with a high competitive level and great technique.
The finals began with the Children’s category in 37-40 kilos, in which the charismatic and favorite Juan Pérez “El Güerito de Tepito” lost to Axel Alan “El Duende” Ocampo.
The little man from Tepito suffered a nosebleed and was counted twice, due to the greatest determination of Ocampo.
In Children’s 44-46 kg category, Juan Gutiérrez from Jalisco was proclaimed winner by defeating Donovan “Gallito” Hernández 3-2.
In 50-53 kg, Edgar Adrián Vera defeated Ángel Yoset by technical decision in the second round and in 53-55 kg, Jonathan Bribiesco from Mexico City defeated Kevin Adrián Reyes.
In the 60-62 kg category José Eduardo from Guadalajara defeated Jonathan Cortez from Baja California. In the 61-63 kg category Joseph Álvarez from MX City beat Levi Aguilar from Mexico 5-0.
Estrella “Vaquerita” Librado is the new champion after defeating Juana Sanchez 5-0, in 51-54 kg Alison Amado took the belt against Megan Joseph; in 60-63 kg Ashley Fernández defeated Naomi Sandoval. Loriel “La Chiquita” Salas is the new monarch after defeating Bárbara Pacheco 4-1.
At heavyweight, Edgar Hernández secured the belt with a victory against Jonathan Cisneros and in more than 91 kg, Dylan Gutiérrez defeated Yosmani López 3-2.
The champions received their respective belts from the hands of the former world monarchs Ana María Torres and Irma García, Carlos “Cañas” Zárate and Isaac “Tortas” Bustos.
