Ukrainian star Oleksandr Usyk will fight Brit Derek Chisora, in a heavyweight clash at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday May 23, live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and DAZN in the US.
Usyk (17-0, 13 KOs) climbed to heavyweight after dominating the cruiserweight division, via Marco Huck, Mairis Breidis, Murat Gassiev and Tony Bellew.
The 2012 Olympic gold medalist began his path in the heavyweight division by knocking out Chazz Witherspoon in seven rounds at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena last October.
Former world title challenger Chisora (32-9, 23 KOs) scored a devastating second round knockout over Poland’s Artur Szpilka last July, a year after his incredible KO victory in round eight against Carlos Takam in the same place.
The famous Greenwich venue has become a favorite spot for Chisora in recent years, hosting his last six fights. The Finchley powerhouse is planning to give Usyk nightmares in his first real test in the big time division.
