Flamboyant WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury returns to London to face gutsy and game Dereck “War” Chisora, and both have shaken hands on the pledge to sock it out in the middle of the ring….to the last man standing…Victory!
Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) will defend the crown this Saturday (ESPN+, 1 PM ET/10) The man is NEVER dull so it`s a sell-out with 70,000 seats snapped up. That`s the bottom line!
Tyson Fury is considered the best heavyweight of this era. He previously defeated Chisora in 2011 (UD 12) and 2014 (TKO 10), but this is the first time they will fight with the heavyweight title on the line.
Fury has an awesome undefeated record, He managed to end Wladimir Klitschko’s long reign of the heavyweight title, stepped back and paused, due to his struggle with mental health problems and drug addiction, and after defeating these double demons, he managed to get the crown back after winning the WBC heavyweight champion in his second fight against Deontay Wilder.
In his previous fight back in the UK he attracted, and gathered together over 94,000 fans at Wembley Stadium to witness his massive uppercut KO of Dillian Whyte.
For his part Chisora continued as one of Britain’s most popular attractions, recently defeated two-time world title challenger Kubrat Pulev by split decision, with a vintage performance.
Today, both contenders spruced themselves up, gave each other a tad of a dressing down and declared themselves good and ready for thrills and spills, after the official weigh-in:
Tyson Fury: 268.6 Lbs
Dereck Chisora: 260.6 Lbs
