Memorial Day is a commemorative date that takes place in the United States, on the last Monday May of each year, with the specific purpose of remembering the American soldiers who died in combat.
Initially it was established to commemorate the fallen soldiers of the American Union that participated in the American Civil War, although after World War I it was extended to pay homage to all American soldiers who died in the wars in which the United States has participated.
The World Boxing Council joins this so poignantly important date for the United States and pays homage to all the heroes of the United States.
