As part of the activations carried out by WBC Cares in Las Vegas, prior to the card headlined by Canelo vs. Charlo, the President of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaimán, visited the Salas Boxing Academy, which is operated and directed by the great trainer Ismael Salas and his wife.
The WBC was received by champion Bryan Mendoza who is trained by Don Ismael. The gym has first-class facilities and many young people and children of all ages train, some to exercise and others with the dream of becoming WBC Green and Gold champions.
Don Ismael addressed some emotional words and thanked Mauricio Sulaimán for the presence in his gym; Then he gave the floor to the President of the WBC, who motivated the young people to continue training and to see the gym as their second home. He emphasized the values they gain from training boxing, such as camaraderie, resilience and discipline. He gave as an example the career of champion Mendoza, who with so much effort paid off with winning the world title.
To close the event, t-shirts, caps, towels, key chains, pens and backpacks were given to the attendees, spreading joy to the children and young people. To finish, the traditional photo of the WBC Cares view was taken.
