It was a unique and unforgettable “Coffee Tuesday” amidst family and friends, as expressed by the President of the WBC Mauricio Sulaimán.
Our traditional conference took place today at the NABOHI headquarters to honor a man who has raised the name of Mexico: Rogelio Mora, CEO of NABOHI, a company that designs, develops and manufactures submersible equipment globally.
A video showed us some of many highlight achievements of Don Rogelio’s career, as part of a deserved tribute; However, the minutes were but few, to tell the story of a man who has dedicated his life`s work to serving others, a man who has proudly raised the name of Mexico with a company that has given livelihoods and futures to hundreds of workers and has also been a dedicated as well as constant sponsor of young athletes.
Don Rogelio is not only a wise businessman but also an enthusiast of boxing and sports. In his youth he participated in the “Golden Gloves” tournament.
Mr. Mora has turned NABOHI INTERNACIONAL into the largest company in Mexico in the field of sewage and wastewater treatment, which has first class infrastructure with highly trained personnel, cutting-edge machinery and engineering.
For the Leader of the WBC, Mr. Mora is an example of strategy, work and perseverance, enabling dreams come true when you aim high for a stellar trajectory.
Mauricio said that one of the things he most admires about Mr. Mora is not only his perseverance, but also the great love and devotion he has for his family, knowing that all the sacrifices have been for them and thanks to the unconditional support of his wife Mrs. Julia Garay.
“Today, the WBC family wants to present this small tribute to a truly great man, a friend who has kept intact his humility and his determination to serve others.
It is with great pride that we want to present you this WBC belt, the highest recognition of our body” -he commented-
Visibly moved and accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Julia, his son Cristobal, NABOHI Plant and Special Projects Manager, his daughter-in-law, pioneer of women’s boxing, Ana María Torres, and his grandchildren, former world champions Carlos Zarate and Francisco Vargas. They presented the WBC belt.
Moved, our honoree today gave special thanks for this incredible recognition and assured that the belt belongs to all those who are and always will be the NABOHI family.
He assured that he has always been a persevering man who has had to weather plus overcome many storms, but who has also known how to get up from falls and move ever onward.
He sent a clear and forceful message to the new generations: study, persevere, work and strive, all the sacrifices you make today will be rewarded.
Finally, he dedicated this recognition to his wife, as he assured that she is the heart and strength beside him, every step of the way.
Ana María and her husband dedicated some emotional words to Don Rogelio because she has been a guide for them, an example of how to lead a family and flourish a loving marriage.
For Ana María, her father-in-law was a key player in her growth as a boxer because he believed in her, gave her sponsorship and this allowed her to concentrate and focus 100% on her career.
Sponsorships and support, NABOHI has granted to hundreds of boxers looking forward to conquering glory.
