
Nicaraguan sports journalist and boxing Judge Gustavo Jarquín, died this Monday, March 13, after suffering a Stroke.
Gustavo worked for years as a commentator on Radio Corporación de Nicaragua. He also served with great honor and distinction, as a Judge at the Nicaraguan Professional Boxing Commission (Conibop).
On Monday morning, while he was doing the Cápsulas Deportivas program on Radio Corporación, Gustavo fell ill and fainted. He was assisted and rushed to a hospital by his colleagues. He unfortunately and tragically passed away.
The entire Family of the World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaimán send our deepest condolences to Gustavo’s friends and family.
A great irreplaceable friend and an admired man has gone before his time.
