The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaimán, are greatly saddened by the passing of Enrique Lutteroth Camou, a legendary promoter and part of the founding family of the World Wrestling Council.
Born on September 30, 1927 in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, Don Enrique moved with his family to Mexico City when he was barely two years old. It was there that his father founded the World Wrestling Council. A pioneering sports initiative.
After studying Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Don Enrique established an architectural office together with some of his fellow students.
In 1954, his father entrusted him with the construction project of the Arena Coliseo de Monterrey, in Nuevo León. During the following years, Don Enrique dedicated himself to the promotion of Wrestling in northern Mexico.
The entire WBC family asks God to provide Don Enrique’s family and friends with solace, at a time of sorrow and reflection, ameliorated by wonderful memories of a strong life, so well lived.
!Rest in peace!
