The World Boxing Council joins the commemoration of the International Women’s Day, not only as a date to remember, but with actions that praise the work of women all around the world.
March 8 is a day in which women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements are recognized. It is also a call to action to boost and raise awareness towards gender equality.
The WBC has worked, and continues to do so, to offer the greatest opportunities to women boxers so that women like Jackie Nava, Mariana Juarez, Yamileth Mercado can star cards.

The International Women’s Day 2022 campaign theme is #BreakTheBias. It seeks to break barriers, break prejudices but also taking actions to build a more equate reality.
It is our mission to empower our Champions not only in words, but with the bases and knowledge to make the best version of ourselves to have a positive change in our reality.
