The WBC Family unites to support Turkey and Syria

Last week, Turkey and Syria suffered one of the most devastating earthquakes in recent years, which has claimed the lives of thousands of people, has left thousands injured and has caused immeasurable pain, for which the entire WBC family both laments and sympathizes with.

We want to remind our brothers and sisters that they are not alone, that the whole world is in their corner, that together we are stronger and that hope is the ability to see that there is light despite appalling adversity.

People from all over the world have come together to support these grievously affected nations and from various parts of the planet, our WBC family continues to join us, as we show in this video we received from Los Angeles, which through the embassy, Said Taghmaoui , who is a famed actor and WBC Cares member, has worked tirelessly.

The governments of different countries, including Mexico, have also sent their experts and canine groups to support the ongoing rescue efforts.

In-kind donations can be made at Turkish embassies in most countries. Winter clothing is needed, coats, raincoats, boots, dresses, pants, gloves, scarves, underwear, socks, hats, tents, mattresses, sleeping bags, thermoses, flashlights, canned or non-perishable food, baby food, diapers, cleaning and hygiene products, sanitary napkins, etc.

In these difficult times, we know that our brothers and sisters need the greatest help possible, which is why the World Boxing Council has decided to create the Aid Fund for Turkey and Syria starting with $20,000 dollars.
