
Today, the World Boxing Council held its weekly press conference at the historic venue: La Arena México.
For a long time, both the Arena México and the Arena Coliseo hosted quality professional boxing events. The Arena Coliseo opened the doors wide to the best prospects in Mexican boxing for more than 45 years, week by week.
While the Arena México, hosted the 1968 Mexico Olympics, seeing how the legendary George Foreman conquered glory. Also, this venue hosted world championship fights due to its large capacity.
“For many years, the Arena México and Coliseo offered great boxing nights. It is touching to remember just how it used to live wrestling and boxing. Remember what Antonio Roldad and George Foreman did. The World Boxing Council will do its best to bring boxing back to these places full of history and tradition.”
