“Great Mexican Champion”, Julio César Chávez, and his son, Julio César Chávez Jr, pledge that on Friday, September 25, they will offer great performances.
Chávez will face Jorge “Travieso” Arce in a 4-round exhibition fight, and Chávez Jr (51-4-1, 33 ko’s) will fight Mario Cázares (12-0-0, 6 ko’s) in 10-round bout. The card will be held behind closed-doors and will take place at the Grand Hotel Tijuana, following the prevention and health protocols of the state government health authorities Baja California, the Tijuana Boxing Commission and the World Boxing Council.
In a virtual press conference, Chávez warned Arce” that on this occasion, he will hit him more than in the two previous times they have faced each other.
Arce replied that since it is a closed-door function, and that “JC” will not have people supporting him, he will give himself the freedom to surprise him and hit him hard.

Cázarez says he agreed to fight at 175 pounds because he is sure f beating Julio César Chávez Jr and achieve the most important victory of his career.
“I have never fought at 175 pounds, I am a natural 168, but I am a boxer who started out hungry. We have done a great preparation and I want to show our level,” said Cázares.
The performance will be complemented with the participation of the WBC Super Bantamweight World Champion, Yamileth “Yeimi” Mercado (15-2-0, 6 ko’s) will fught eight ounds at featherweight versus Dayanna González (7-3-1 , 3 ko’s).
Also, Karim Arce (16-0-1, 7 ko’s) will fight 6 rounds against Davis “Choko” Martino (10-8-0, 7 ko’s).
José Luis Castillo Jr (24-3-0, 18 ko’s), Dubiel Sánchez (14-0-2, 11 ko’s) and heavyweight Ernesto “Tanque” Beltrán (10-5-1, 5 ko’s) will enter the ring in the preliminary part of the boxing card.
