For the first time, the most important cultural and artistic event in Mexico and Latin America, which has existed since 1972, was clad in Green and Gold.
For two days, the Cervantino Festival had various boxing and boxing-fitness activations, autograph signings and motorbike talks with champions and former world champions.
During this festival, Guanajuato welcomes more than 2,000 artists from more than 30 countries, from the most varied art disciplines: music, opera, theater, dance, plastic arts, literature and audiovisual media.
This time it also opened the doors to the sport that has given the most glories to Mexico, boxing, so that the attendees could meet some of the great legends of the strings and live the experience of training boxing up close.
Like every year, the festival has guest countries, this time it was the United States; Ambassador Ken Salazar was the special guest at the grand opening of the Festival. During the ceremony, former world champions Humberto González and Daniel Zaragoza presented him with a pair of autographed gloves.
On the October 21st and 22nd, the professional boxer and WBC-certified instructor, Rosy Olvera, offered several activations aimed at young people and children where they worked on stamina, agility, coordination and basic boxing skills such as movements, turns, straight and hooks and the fundamental jab. The participation of the people was impressive because they not only enjoyed the physical benefits of this sport but also learned the stories of some of the greatest idols.
