The World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association light flyweight champion, Japanese Kenshiro “The Amazing Boy” Teraji, will face the World Boxing Organization champion, Puerto Rican Jonathan “Bomba” González, in a unification on Saturday April 8 in Tokyo, Japan.
Teraji (20-1, 12 KOs) comes into this bout after a seventh-round knockout of then-undefeated compatriot Hiroto Kyoguchi (16-1, 11 KOs).
Teraji made the first defense of his second WBC reign after he regained the belt last March and won Kyoguchi’s WBA title on November 1 at Saitama Super Arena.
On the same card, González (27-3-1, 15 KOs) defended his WBO belt for the second time after defeating Shokichi Iwata (9-1, 6 KOs) by twelve round unanimous decision.
