Stellar Profiles of Franchon Crews-Dezurn and Elin Cederroos
Franchon Crews Dezurn
Franchon Crews Dezurn, is one of the best current boxers in the United States. Born in Virginia, she found her passion for boxing in 2003, after having only entered it as a way to train and stay in shape as she was focused on building a singing career.
However, she discovered that she was destined for boxing, by fighting as amateur, earning her first victory in 2004. It was not until twelve years later, in 2016, that she made her professional debut against Claressa Shields.
Since this event, Crews Dezurn has developed apace. She currently has nine fights in her history, with seven victories, two of them by knockout, and she is ready for the great confrontation that is approaching on April 30.
“Making history by becoming the undisputed champion means everything to my career. I had an iconic pro debut and now it’s time to take home the jackpot. New York is where dreams are made and mine will come true on April 30, I will be winning all the belts.”
Swedish, Elin Cederroos aged thirty six, is the IBF and WBA super middleweight champion since 2019.
The champ found her passion for boxing, after having played soccer professionally, making her boxing debut on April 8, 2017 defeating Sanja Ostojić by technical knockout in the fourth round.
She currently has won all 8 of her fights, 4 of them by knockout. “I have been waiting for this fight for so long, but this has made it worth the wait.
“To be fighting in Madison Square Garden is a dream come true and to do it on such a historic night for women’s boxing is a real honor,” she said, convinced of taking all the belts on her return to Sweden.
