This Saturday, October 8 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, the Dominican Carlos Adames fights Mexican Juan Macias Montiel, with the interim middleweight title endorsed by the World Boxing Council at stake.
Adames from Elías Piña, Dominican Republic, has a record of 21 wins against one loss with 16 knockouts.
“I know the level of commitment. I cannot underestimate a man who has won all his fights by knockout, but the important thing is that I have worked hard and with great conscience for this fight”, Adams commented.
“Caballo Bronco”, as Adames is known, trained for this fight in Otumba, State of Mexico, along with world champion Rey Vargas.
Montiel has a record of 23 wins, all by knockout, five losses and two draws.
“First of all I see myself victorious, I have a lot of experience, I have fought with fast, left-handed, right-handed, punchers and I feel that this is one more challenge, he is a very complete boxer, but we have prepared ourselves for that”, Juan commented.
This exciting bout will be part of a card headlined by undefeated World Boxing Council Interim Super welterweight Champion Sebastian Fundora facing former world title challenger Carlos Ocampo.
The event is promoted by TGB Promotions and Sampson Boxing.
