
An attractive card was confirmed on December 23 at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan, where the World Boxing Council’s light flyweight champion Ken Shiro (16-0, 9 knockouts) will defend his title against the IBF champion, Nicaraguan Felix Alvarado (35 -2, 30 knockouts).
Shiro wants to unify the division to prove he’s the best, and now he will have the chance against powerful Alvarado.
This will be Alvarado’s second successive fight against a Japanese fighter, after a victory earlier this year over Reiya Konishi.
Also as part od the card, Japanese Ryota Murata (15-2, 12 KOs) will face Canadian Steven Butler (28-1-1, 24 KOs).
The former world champion Akira Yaegashi (28-6, 16 KOs) will also action.
