Selby Vs Martinez fly by night

Andrew Selby and Julio César Martinez have declared war because only one of them can progress from this WBC flyweight eliminator this  Saturday in Metepec, State of Mexico.

 Selby, who just arrived from the United Kingdom, last Saturday is good and ready to face the Mexican whom he considers a tough rival, either boxing….or in a toe to toe slugfest. 

Grateful to have this opportunity, Selby said that Mexican boxing is revered, mentioning the classics between Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales as a gold standard reference for all fighters.

As to exactly how the match will develop, the undefeated boxer from Cardiff said that he is ready to work and dig deep, if the match goes to the distance or by trading punches closing in.  Frankly whatever is necessary to win.

 For his part, Julio Martinez who comes to this commitment with a record of 13 fights won, 10 via the knockout and one defeat, says nothing will stop him on his way to the world title. And although he acknowledged that Selby is a dangerous rival because of his speed, he has what it takes.
