
In Delhi, India, Satnam Singh defeated Amey Nitin to win the World Boxing Council Indian featherweight title.
It was an entertaining battle between two fighters who gave it their all from the first bell to the end of the tenth round.
Satnam dominated the early rounds, but Amey Nitin pushed through intrepid to win the middle rounds.
However, the 25-year-old Satnam, who has improved with a record to 10 wins and one loss, had a better finish and showed his best technique and boxing to win the Indian Featherweight title endorsed by the WBC.
“I really had to win the Green and Gold Belt. The last three rounds were tough, I was ahead, but I had to be superior and stay calm. I had an excellent opponent in front of me and I am very happy for this win,” said Satnam.
Two judges scored the fight in favor of Satnam, while the third judge scored it a draw after 10 exciting rounds.
