Spanish boxer Samuel Carmona will challenge the Mexican Julio César Martínez, the World Boxing Council flyweight champion, on December 3 in Arizona, United States.
JC Martínez, was scheduled to face Puerto Rican McWilliams Arroyo for the second time, but unfortunately he was injured in his training camp.
Samuel Carmona has stated that he is in great condition fif the opportunity of his life, affirming that he has been working for many years to fulfill his dream of being crowned WBC Green and Gold champion.
Carmona, who was an Olympic fighter in Rio de Janeiro 2016, acknowledges that he will face a very strong rival, but that he is prepared for this important challenge and reign in Spain.
“I am proud to represent Gran Canaria and to be the future world champion, because we are going to achieve it. We are going to bring the belt to the island,” said the 26-year-old fighter.
