Former world champion Rosendo Álvarez, who is a WBC Cares ambassador, in joint work with the government of Nicaragua, donated pacemakers for low-income people in need.
A day of surgeries was held where experienced cardiologists performed free surgery on those who need it most.
Rosendo has done a wonderful job through WBC CARES, with a donation of 3 ultrasound machines made to the Matagalpa and Sandino hospitals in Nicaragua. This in addition to the constant visits that “Bufalo” Álvarez has made to hospitals and orphanages.
“I feel very proud to be a member of the WBC and I am extremely grateful to be an ambassador for charities to support those who need it most. We will continue working for the good of the people to preserve the legacy of Don José Sulaimán,” commented the champion.
The WBC congratulates our friend Rosendo in a very special way for the great and caring work he does in his country and for representing the organization’s values in a tremendous way.
